Saddle River - An Overview

Saddle River is close toe the conveniences of mass urbanization but far enough away to retain a genteel, small-town charm. Those who live in the borough say they moved there to escape city pressures without isolating themselves in the middle of nowhere. The borough's low taxes, among the lowest in Bergen County, are another incentive.
Saddle River schools enjoy widespread support from residents, who routinely pass budgets, raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for school programs, and donate their time and skills. Because the district is so small it is difficult for anyone to slip through the cracks."
